Comprehensive Eye Exams
At your eye examination, we will review your health history and family history, check your visual acuities, perform several screening tests, do a refraction to determine your glasses prescription, test the eye pressures, and evaluate the external and internal health of your eyes. Please bring a list of your medications and previous surgeries with you. You will also need to bring your current glasses, readers and or sunglasses.
Even if your vision is good and you think your eyes are healthy it is important to have your eyes examined at a minimum every two years, but annually if you have risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension, family history of eye disease or you are taking certain medications that can affect your eye health or vision. Once you have been seen at our office, the doctor can recommend how frequently you will need to be seen.
